Walnut speaker cases

Walnut speaker set

Walnut (African in this case) is one of my all time favourite wood species - it's absolutely beautiful. I'm also rather partial to a good looking speaker case.

So here's what you get when you combine some old computer speakers with said wood species.

Originally these were going to grace my new desk (when I get around to buidling it), but somewhere during the course of the build, the right channel died and these now occupy a shelf in my shop. I probably messed up during the soldering operation as I seperated the volume control and right speaker and hard wired the bluetooth receiver.

Lessons learned though and I can use these learnings when I build the next set ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The sub and speaker cases are MDF with African walnut fronts/faces. The left and right speakers are tapered 10° on the front and outer wall and the volume control tapers front only, all of which made for some pretty interesting compound angles.
